“My primary concern is that the procedure is correct. The method by which you accomplish something is far more fundamental than what you do afterwards. Let us begin by going back; I am contesting the procedure and the declaration.

“Until we get this right, we cannot discuss a government of national unity.” Otherwise, we would sit down and say that those who stopped a train and kidnapped people can call us to discuss peace if they still have hostages. “Until things are done correctly, we will be encouraging what we shouldn’t,” he said.

Obi stated that he would be shocked if the court upheld Tinubu’s election when asked whether he would accept the outcome if it was not in his favour.

His words: “Electoral disputes will be resolved in court. I will be shocked if that situation persists in this country. It will then stand that is dominated by corporate crime. We cannot permit it. We must begin disaggregating this criminality.

“When people discussed structure, they were referring to the fraud and criminality that we witnessed, and we want to disentangle it for the sake of our children.”
