Junketing President, Tinubu Heads For Germany.
In a swift move, Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, is scheduled to depart Abuja for Berlin, Germany, this Saturday, just 48 hours after his return from diplomatic missions to Saudi Arabia and Guinea Bissau.
Tinubu who participated in the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh and subsequent engagements in Guinea Bissau, landed in Abuja on Thursday evening.
Tinubu’s upcoming foreign venture will see him participating in the G-20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference, hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The conference, slated for November 20, 2023, aims to foster economic and business cooperation among member countries, addressing key areas like energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies.

Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Friday, confirmed Tinubu’s attendance, revealing the accompanying delegation comprising Foreign Affairs Minister, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Finance Minister, Mr. Wale Edun; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite; and Power Minister, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
Ngelale highlighted the agenda for the Nigerian delegation, emphasizing discussions with German business representatives to boost investments across sectors such as transportation, mining, and energy.

He recalled President Tinubu’s prior discussions with Chancellor Scholz in October, stressing the urgency for increased German investment in Nigeria.
Nigeria and Germany, the largest economies in Africa and Europe respectively, have witnessed a surge in bilateral trade from two to three billion Euros between 2021 and 2022. President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria post the conference’s conclusion, further solidifying diplomatic ties and economic collaboration.
