Kano lifts dawn to dusk curfew
The state government of Kano has lifted the dawn-to-dusk curfew imposed in the state to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the aftermath of tensions caused by the announcement of the results of the governorship and state Assembly elections.

Muhammad Garba, state commissioner for information and internal affairs, issued a statement to Kano journalists announcing the lifting of the curfew.
According to him, “the decision to lift the curfew was made after a careful analysis of the situation and the state’s relative calm.”
However, the commissioner urged commercial banks, public servants, and residents of the state to return to their normal businesses or daily activities.
