Mercy City, also known as Christ MercyLand and Deliverance Ministry, is currently on fire in Effurun, Delta State.

 

Videos obtained by our correspondent depict a structure within the church compound engulfed in flames.

Ejes Gist News Nigeria couldn’t ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak.

However, as of press time, the church’s entrance gate was locked, and no fire department official was in sight.

Meanwhile, The state government of Kano has lifted the dawn-to-dusk curfew imposed in the state to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the aftermath of tensions caused by the announcement of the results of the governorship and state Assembly elections.

Muhammad Garba, state commissioner for information and internal affairs, issued a statement to Kano journalists announcing the lifting of the curfew.

 

According to him, “the decision to lift the curfew was made after a careful analysis of the situation and the state’s relative calm.”
