Man Who Tweeted Against Governor Soludo, APGA Arrested, Moved to Abuja
A Nigerian man was arrested and transferred to Abuja for tweeting against the governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Nnamdi Chude, an ardent Labour Party supporter, tweeted on Saturday that Soludo’s party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was involved in the rigging of the election for the House of Assembly.

He insisted that Soludo was instrumental in the rigging and that ballot boxes were stolen by thugs. Dragging Anambra back to the time of former governor Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinju, according to him.
Later, police officers arrested Chude in Onitsha and transferred him to the state capital, Awka.
Soludo Responds
A message from the governor’s press secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, stated that the suspect was transferred to Abuja on Sunday and that the governor had neither a hand in his arrest nor was aware of his crime.
Aburime stated, “The Commissioner of Police of the Anambra State Police Command has confirmed to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, that one Mr. Nnamdi Chude was arrested yesterday in Anambra by the Cyber Crime Unit of Interpol and transferred to Abuja today.”
“The Anambra State Government is unaware of the specific allegations or reasons for his arrest,”
Governor Soludo’s APGA won the majority of state assembly seats in the state, followed by the Labour Party, according to results already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
