A 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, allegedly connected to the controversial death of hip hop artiste, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been remanded in custody by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba on Monday.
The nurse is accused of administering injections to the late singer, which reportedly led to his untimely demise.
Similarly, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, ordered that Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, also held as a suspect, be returned to police custody.
However, the magistrate granted bail in the sum of N20 million to each of Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, who were also implicated in Mohbad’s death. They were taken into police custody on October 6.
As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to provide three responsible sureties in like sum, with one of the sureties owning a landed property.
Additionally, they must surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Magistrate Olatunbosun emphasized that no one should attempt to contact her directly regarding the case.
She warned that any such attempts would be recorded and possibly disclosed during open court proceedings.
The police have stated that the investigation is still ongoing. The case has been adjourned until November 29 for further advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
