1. The killing of a butcher, Usman Buda, by extremist Muslims over an alleged blasphemous comment against an Islamic prophet is now under investigation by the Sokoto State Police Command. The incident occurred during an argument between the butcher and another trader at the Sokoto Main Abattoir on Sunday.

2. President Bola Tinubu recently shared a remarkable anecdote from his past, revealing that a naval officer once slapped him for unintentionally overcharging him during his days as a taxi driver in the United States. Tragedy struck as a boat capsized at Marina Resort waterways in Calabar, Cross River State, leading to the feared loss of three medical students, two from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and one from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
