Fear has gripped the citizens of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, after unknown gunmen attacked the Grow Homes Estate along Kuchibiyi in the Kubuwa neighborhood.

A source claims that the 20 or so gunmen kidnapped “at least nine people”.
The source stated: “Yesterday, at around 11:30 pm, some gunmen came to the Grow Homes estate along Kuchibiyi to carry out an operation in their great numbers.
“We heard the sounds of gunshots, and as a result of the incident, there was panic throughout the entire community.
We visited the estate this morning, where we discovered that the gunmen were in their early 20s. They dispersed their possessions as they moved from one apartment to the next.

“They also abducted at least nine people from two apartments in the estate, including women and children.
“They escaped through the bush that separated our neighborhood from Paze village. Since early this morning, the police and the estate security have been looking through the bushes to see if they can find the missing residents.
Josephine Adeh, the police spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), confirmed the attack to this newspaper and added that efforts are still being made to catch the attackers and free the kidnapped people.
