Whether you are Batified, Atikulated, Obidient, Kwankwasiyya, or have any other political affiliation, you voted for a better, more hopeful nation, and I appreciate your participation in our democracy.

You chose to place your faith in the democratic vision of a Nigeria based on shared prosperity and nourished by the values of unity, justice, peace, and tolerance. Renewed hope has dawned in Nigeria.

We applaud INEC for conducting a fair and free election. The infractions that did occur were few in number and inconsequential to the final result. With each election cycle, we continue to refine this vital aspect of our democratic life.

Lastly, I appreciate the Nigerian people’s unwavering faith in our democracy. I will be a leader who is fair to all Nigerians. I will be in tune with your aspirations, invigorate your energies, and utilize your skills to create a nation of which we can be proud.

I extend the hand of friendship to my fellow candidates, former vice president Atiku, former governor Kwankwaso, former governor Obi, and all others. This campaign was competitive and spirited.

You have my highest regard. Political reconciliation and inclusive governance must now replace political competition. You may have been my opponent during the election, but you were never my enemy. In my heart, I consider you to be my brothers.

Nevertheless, I am aware that some candidates will struggle to accept the election results. You have the right to pursue legal action. It is neither appropriate nor justifiable for anyone to resort to violence. Any challenge to the election results must be brought before a court of law, not in the streets.

I also request that my supporters let peace prevail and tensions subside. We conducted a principled, peaceful, and forward-thinking campaign.

Yes, there are divisions that should not exist among us. Many individuals are uncertain, angry, and hurt; I extend my hand to each of you. At this momentous juncture, let the better aspects of our humanity come to the forefront. Let us begin to heal our nation and restore its tranquility.

Now, I hear you loud and clear, young people of this nation. I comprehend your anguish, as well as your yearnings for effective government, a robust economy, and a secure nation that safeguards you and your future.

I am aware that for many of you, Nigeria has become a place of persistent obstacles that hinder your ability to envision a prosperous future.

Renovating our cherished national residence requires the concerted efforts of all of us, particularly the youth. Together, we will move the nation forward as never before.

My running mate, Vice President-elect Shettima, and I are aware of the upcoming difficulties. Moreover, we recognize and appreciate the talent and inherent goodness of you, the Nigerian people. We pledge to listen attentively and to carry out the difficult tasks and monumental deeds that will put us on the path to irreversible progress.

Please hold us accountable, but give us a chance first. Together, we will construct a society that is brighter and more productive , tomorrow, and for years to come. Today, you have bestowed upon me the highest honor you can bestow upon an individual.

In return, as your next president and commander-in-chief, I will give you my all. Peace, unity, and prosperity will serve as the pillars of the society we intend to construct. When you see what we accomplish in the coming years, you will be proud to call yourself a Nigerian.

I thank everyone.
