The Nigerian Navy has taken another step forward in its recruitment process by announcing the list of shortlisted candidates who successfully passed the Nigerian Navy Basic Training NNBTS School Batch 35 Recruitment Examination, which took place on June 3, 2023.

In a recent update, the Navy has invited the selected candidates to attend interviews that will be conducted at designated centers across the country. The interview process, scheduled to take place from July 22 to August 11, 2023, will encompass several stages, including screening and verification of credentials, medical and physical evaluations, as well as written tests.

The interview venues have been specified as follows: Nigerian Navy Secondary School Ojo (Navy Town) Lagos, Nigerian Navy Secondary School Borokiri in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and NDA Old Site in Kaduna. Candidates are required to attend the interview at the center assigned to their respective state of origin and batch, as indicated on the official Nigerian Navy website.

To ensure a smooth interview process, candidates are advised to come prepared with the necessary documents and items. These include original and photocopies of their credentials, a valid Driver’s License (Category H only), the original and photocopy of their State of Origin/LGA certificate, and their National Identity Card or Acknowledgment Slip. Candidates should also bring writing materials, two pairs of navy blue shorts and two white (unmarked) T-shirts, a pair of canvas/trainers and stockings, bed sheets, pillowcases, a set of cutlery, four recent passport-sized photographs on a white background (30X30mm), face masks, hand sanitizers, and personal toiletries such as bathing and washing soaps, toothpaste, and a toothbrush.

It is important to note that the interview process will be conducted on an individual basis, and any candidate found to be deficient in meeting the required criteria at any stage of the interview may face termination of their candidature.

The Nigerian Navy emphasizes the significance of punctuality and adherence to the allocated interview date and center. Failure to report for screening at the specified center for their State of Origin on the scheduled date will result in the forfeiture of the candidate’s candidature.
