1.Bola Tinubu promises not to disappoint Nigerians

Saminu Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, confirmed the incident on Thursday and explained that the fire was under control when firefighters arrived at the residence.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party and former governor of Kano State, has urged politicians to invest in people instead of stealing public funds. As chairman of Mohammed Bago’s inaugural lecture in Minna on Thursday, he provided this counsel.

5. Dangote Refinery would alleviate Nigeria Foreign Exchange shortage- Emefiele

Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, is optimistic that Dangote Refinery, when fully operational in July, will alleviate the country’s foreign exchange shortage. According to Emefiele, local refining could save approximately 20% of the total cost of importing petroleum products.

Ambrose Owuru, a lawyer and politician, was fined N40 million by the Court of Appeal in Abuja for filing a case to stop the inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president. A three-member court panel ruled on Thursday that the case brought by Owuru and the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) constituted an abuse of the judicial system.

10. 2 fatalities recorded in Lagos- Ibadan expressway accident

Two fatalities have been confirmed in a single-vehicle accident at the Kara end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The accident occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday while the truck was transporting yam tubers into Ogun State, according to reports.
