PDP Chieftain Gunned Down In Ondo 

 

Akinlabi Akinnaso, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was murdered in Idanre Local Government Area, Ondo State.

Akinnaso, also known as “Oluomo,” was reportedly killed on Sunday by a soldier assigned to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Centre, Owena/Ayetoro in Idanre town. Read More

 

1) Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Presidential Candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), is in the lead with 270,000 votes in the 38 local government areas of Kano State that have been declared thus far at the state collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

2) Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won in all eleven local government areas of Gombe State. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that Atiku received 319,123 votes against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 146,977 votes.

5) Abba Umar, the son of Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has lost the election for the House of Representatives. The governor’s son, who ran for Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado Federal Constituency, lost to New Nigerian Peoples Party candidate Tijjani Abudlkadir Jobe (NNPP).


6) The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Mr. Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of the House of Representatives seat for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency. 9) Mr. Gabriel Agabi Akwaji, a University Don, was arrested for impersonating a Returning Officer in Yache Ward, Yala Local government, during the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly elections in Cross River State.
