1) If elected president the following year, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has pledged to revive the failing Ajaokuta Steel Company.
The pledge was made by Obi on Tuesday at a campaign event in Lokoja’s Confluence Stadium.
2) The police have announced that they will begin a manhunt for politicians who are obtaining Permanent Voter Cards in order to rig the general elections of 2023.
This occurred at the same time that the Independent National Electoral Commission issued a warning to politicians and political parties that it would not tolerate any illegal acts and vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone found buying or selling PVCs.

7) In connection with alleged kidnapping and banditry in the state, the Sokoto State Police Command paraded eight suspects on Tuesday.
When presenting the suspects, the state’s police commissioner, Muhammed Gumel, stated that on December 4 at 2:35 p.m., one Suleman Musa reported to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Sokoto that at 2 p.m., unidentified individuals conspired to kidnap his son, Musa Suleman, age seven, and kept him for four days.
8) On Tuesday, Justice Ibrahim Yusuf of the Kwara State High Court in Ilorin sentenced two students, Abdulazeez Ismail and Ajala Oluwatimileyin, to death for the murder of Blessing Olajide, a 300-level undergraduate at the University of Ilorin.
On June 2, 2021, the two attacked Olajide and killed her at her sister’s home in Ilorin, Kwara State’s Tanke neighbourhood.
