Pastor Adeboye’s words resonated deeply with the worshippers. He proclaimed, “If the Lord I serve is still on the throne, those glorious days when the naira is stronger than the dollar will return. When that happens, you will know there is a God of miracles. Miracle is totally unusual. God can give you a miracle that will be difficult to share.”

The prediction came at a time when the naira’s performance in the foreign exchange markets had caused concern among Nigerians. In the first trading session of September, the naira’s exchange rate against the dollar at the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window segment closed at N740.38/$1. In other markets, the naira closed at N921/$1 in the P2P market and had similar rates in the black market.

While challenges persist in the naira’s exchange rate, Pastor Adeboye’s prediction ignited a spark of hope in the hearts of Nigerians, reminding them of the power of faith and belief in the face of adversity.

In other financial news, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recently disclosed details of its financial performance for the year 2022, including expenses related to printing and disposing of unfit naira notes. The CBN reported spending over N29 billion on printing new naira notes and disposing of old ones as part of its routine currency management process, carried out in accordance with the CBN Act 2007.

As Nigerians grapple with economic challenges, the words of Pastor Adeboye serve as a reminder that faith and belief can play a crucial role in shaping the future, including the strength of their national currency.
