The Northern Governors’ Forum (NGF) has announced a generous donation of N180 million to aid the Kaduna State government and victims affected by the devastating airstrike.
The announcement came after the inaugural meeting of the NGF held in Kaduna on Friday, where the governors expressed their heartfelt condolences to the people of Kaduna.
Condemning the tragic incident that claimed over 100 lives and left many injured, the forum pledged its commitment to providing both immediate financial assistance and long-term support.
Chairman NGF and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya stated,
“The forum has collectively resolved to support the Kaduna State Government and victims of the unfortunate incident of bombing at Tudun Biri Community of Igabi LGA by donating the sum of N180,000,000.00 only to the victims.”
Beyond the immediate crisis response, the NGF outlined a comprehensive plan to address key challenges affecting the Northern region.

This ambitious agenda encompasses issues such as peaceful coexistence, economic development, youth employment, drug abuse, and education revitalization, aiming to improve the lives of millions of citizens.
Acknowledging the federal government’s recent efforts against insecurity, the forum pledged further collaboration.
Emphasizing the importance of enhanced cooperation with security agencies, strengthening local law enforcement, engaging with communities, and adopting modern technology to combat regional insecurity, the governors underscored their commitment to tackling this complex issue.
NGF To Tackle Environmental Challenges
Recognizing the root causes of insecurity as poverty, unemployment, and deepening social inequality, the NGF also addressed environmental challenges in Northern Nigeria, particularly the conflict between farmers and herders.
The governors vowed to work towards sustainable solutions that protect livelihoods, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute to overall regional stability.
