In Saturday’s House of Assembly election, Nollywood actor and politician Desmond Elliot would face his younger colleague Olumide Oworu.

 

Desmond, who represents the Surulere constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has held the position unopposed for eight years.

Olumide Oworu, a Nollywood actor, has now entered the race on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), and many young voters have pledged to turn out en masse to vote Desmond out of office.
