Singer Chris Mba is dead
Veteran singer, Chris Mba, is dead, Ejes Gist News Nigeria can authoritatively report.
On Wednesday, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, he passed away after a lengthy battle with heart problems.

Michael Odiong, the General Manager of Premier Music, where Chris is signed, disclosed this information on his Instagram account.
He penned, “PREMIER RECORDS EXPRESSES MOURNING OVER THE DEATH OF ONE OF ITS ARTISTS, CHRIS MBA.
“The management of Premier Records Ltd is saddened by the passing of one of its artists, Mr. Chris Mba, who passed away yesterday, May 3, 2023, after a lengthy battle with heart problems.

“According to the label’s general manager, Mr. Michael Odiong, Chris Mba was a bundle of talent who gave pop music an African flavour by incorporating local instruments. When he released hits such as “Baby Don’t Cry” and “Money” in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he made waves.
