Force PRO Adejobi, Arise TV Presenter Rufai Oseni, and More to Receive Honorary Doctoral Awards on September 23.

 

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, renowned Arise Television Presenter, Mr. Rufai Oseni, and distinguished Media Professional, Pastor Ayo Arowojolu, along with 20 other distinguished individuals, are set to be honored with honorary doctoral degrees at the upcoming Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC) scheduled for September 23, 2023.

These honorary awards are being conferred by the South African-based Immanuel Institute of Theology in collaboration with the Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc, based in Nigeria.

During a press conference held on Thursday in Abeokuta, Professor Olusesi Obateye, the International Coordinator of the Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc., announced that these honors were being granted in recognition of the awardees’ profound contributions and societal impact.

The International Coordinator, flanked by key officials including the International Director of Media and Communication, Pastor Wole Dosunmu, and the Chairman of the Award and Recognitions Committee, Mrs. Stella Sawyerr, shared that these awards are part of a three-day Leadership Conference set to take place in Abeokuta.

ACP Adejobi and Mr. Oseni are expected to receive a PhD in Leadership (Honoris Causa), while Pastor Arowojolu will be conferred with a PhD in Theology (Honoris Causa).

Among the other notable awardees are two prominent foreign preachers, Pastor Conrad Oberle from Germany, and Dr. Mrs. Tamike Vudunt Brown from the United States. Both will also receive doctoral awards during the event.

Obateye further revealed that Chief Abiodun Lasile, the Owu Kingmaker/Promoter of Sixth Sense Initiatives, and the Lead Pastor of SPAC, Abeokuta, Dosunmu, will be honored with Doctoral degrees.

The conference will additionally recognize Otunba Wasiu Taiwo, CEO of Wessy Creation and Continental Suites, and Oyindayo Akeeb, a renowned Fertility Therapist known for assisting countless couples in having children, both with PhDs in Leadership (Honoris Causa).

The International Coordinator addressed the conference’s theme, titled “Regenerative Leadership,” emphasizing the critical role of leadership in addressing Nigeria’s challenges. He highlighted the need for effective leadership structures, especially those that connect with the people, regardless of their geographical location.

The three-day LEIC Conference is scheduled to commence on Thursday, September 21, and conclude on Saturday, September 23. It is expected to draw participants from 18 countries, focusing on the importance of right leadership, knowledge enrichment, and capacity building for achieving greater societal impact.

Professor Olusesi Obateye also provided insight into the conference’s global reach, mentioning that previous conferences have been held in various countries, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Togo, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Burundi. This marks the fourth time Nigeria hosts the event, following successful conferences in 2019, 2021, 2022, and now in 2023.
