Reasons Behind the Resignation:

Senator Utazi, who served as the district’s representative between 2015 and 2023, submitted his resignation letter to Robert Ezeagu, the chairman of the PDP in the Nkpologu ward of Uzo-Uwani LGA.

In the letter, he stated, “It is with reservation that I resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, which I had the privilege of being a foundation member at its inception in 1998.”
