Tinubu Issues Directives To Security Agencies

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed the nation’s security agencies to work together to combat terrorism effectively.

 

On Monday, during a tour of the new National Security Adviser’s office and facilities at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja, the Nigerian leader made this statement.

In a statement, the Presidential Villa’s Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, quoted the President as saying that security agents must eradicate terrorism entirely.

 

Tinubu stated that there would be no prosperity if security issues were not resolved, adding that the country’s intelligence community must prioritize information sharing.

Terrorism is not unique to Nigeria alone. It is widespread, and we must combat it. We must eradicate it entirely.

 

If we as Nigerians desire economic revitalization, prosperity, and development, we must prioritise security. This is a demonstration of intelligence efforts to combat terrorism, which I have just witnessed. This must be supported by evidence.
