Presidential Aide Denounces Atiku’s Pursuit of Tinubu’s Educational Records
Temitope Ajayi, the senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on media, has responded sharply to the recent controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s educational records.
He stated that the issue of Tinubu’s graduation from Chicago State University is not the main concern, but rather the manner in which former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has treated President Tinubu.
Ajayi emphasized that Atiku’s actions demonstrate ingratitude, accusing him of betraying a friend who once extended great kindness.

He pointed out instances where Tinubu supported Atiku, providing shelter and support during times of political adversity.
Ajayi recalled a past incident where Atiku was metaphorically “beaten by rain and stripped naked” by President Olusegun Obasanjo and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007.
He underscored that such support should not be forgotten, and that true friendship should not devolve into relentless pursuit of power.
Atiku Abubakar, who was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the recent presidential elections, sought to challenge the results through legal channels.

After his petitions were dismissed by the elections petitions tribunal, he turned to the U.S. Court for the Northern District of Illinois in an attempt to obtain President Tinubu’s educational records.
Judge Nancy Maldonado ruled in Atiku’s favor, ordering Chicago State University to release the requested records and provide authentication from their corporate staff.
The controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s educational background continues to generate public interest, with political figures and analysts weighing in on the matter.
At the core of this issue, however, is the debate over the appropriateness of pursuing such records and the implications it may have on the political landscape.
