Atiku’s Spokesperson Lambasts Vice President Shettima, Calls for Reflection
In a scathing statement released on Thursday, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communications to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has launched a blistering critique of Vice President Kashim Shettima, asserting that Shettima’s governance left Borno State in disarray.
According to Shaibu, Shettima’s tenure transformed the once ‘Home of Peace’ into a veritable ‘hellfire’.
This sharp rebuke came in response to Shettima’s recent interview at the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) in Abuja, where he made remarks about retiring Atiku to Fombina and purchasing goats for him.
Shaibu went on to deride Shettima’s governance record, labeling it as one of the most dismal in Nigerian history. He questioned Shettima’s intentions of investing in Atiku, considering the apparent lack of progress during his own tenure.

While acknowledging Shettima’s penchant for humor, Shaibu pointed out instances where the Vice President made controversial statements about prominent figures.

Highlighting specific incidents during Shettima’s time as governor, Shaibu accused him of neglecting security reports that ultimately led to the tragic abduction of over 250 schoolgirls in Chibok.

In a closing statement, Shaibu urged Shettima to prioritize introspection and to refrain from making jests at those who have worked to improve the lives of others. He called for a return to the dignity and decorum associated with the Office of the Vice-President.
