The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has officially announced the indefinite suspension of actor Jerry Williams due to his involvement with illegal substances.

AGN’s National President, Mr Emeka Rollas, MON, stated that the organization had closely monitored Jerry Williams’ association with illicit substances since December of the previous year, and the situation has reached an uncontrollable level.

Mr Rollas emphasized that he is prohibited from associating with other performers on set to prevent endangering their lives. The primary concern is the safety of fellow actors. The statement reads, “The Guild has been monitoring Jerry Williams’ involvement in illicit substances since December last year, and as the situation has escalated, he cannot be allowed to associate with other performers on set due to the risk involved.”

The decision to suspend Jerry should have been made earlier, but the guild initially provided him with the opportunity to undergo minor treatments, which he consistently failed to comply with. However, considering the current circumstances, Jerry Williams is not only a risk to himself but also to other actors who might work alongside him on set. Consequently, AGN has decided to suspend Jerry Williams indefinitely until he receives a clean bill of health from a medical practitioner or a professional specializing in drug abuse.
