Jang, Lalong, APC In Dispute Over G-5 Endorsement Of Tinubu

Benue’s Senator Jonah Jang and Governor Simon Lalong engaged in a verbal dispute over whether the G-5 Governors, led by River’s Governor Nyesom Wike, have decided to support the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In contrast to Governor Lalong of Plateau, who was adamant that the G-5 Governors were secretly working for the APC presidential candidate, his predecessor Jang believed that the G-5 could not endorse Tinubu.

In a statement released over the weekend in Jos, written by his media aide Clinton Garuba, Jang harshly criticized Lalong for his claim.

In response to Jang’s criticism, Plateau Media and APC PCC press secretary Sylvanus Naman disputed Jang’s claims in Jos, stating that Jang misinterpreted Lalong’s claim.

The statement reads, “To say that the G5 Governors have not taken a position on their support for the APC Presidential Candidate confirms his fear of an unstoppable victory by Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the polls.
