Fire razes spare parts market

The Araromi spare parts market in Ibadan, the capital of , was completely destroyed by fire in the early hours of Saturday.

This online newspaper gathered that the market is one of the main markets in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

According to reports, the fire incident, which began at around two in the morning, affected about forty-five (45) stores.

The incident was confirmed to ejesgist.ng by Oyo State Fire Service.

Yemi Akinyinka stated that the command’s men were able to put out the fire around 5 a.m. on Saturday in an interview with ejesgist.ng

“Our men are at Araromi Market Agodi Gate since 2:30 a.m. where they are putting out the fire caused by careless refuse burning,” Akinyinka said in a phone conversation.

“The fire was put out at 5:00 in the morning. To prevent a rekindle, cooling down operations are still in progress. I’m headed toward the site of the evaluation.
