DPO Slumps, Dies In Office
On Tuesday, Superintendent Mojeed Salami, who served as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Seme Police Division in Lagos State, slumped in his office and passed away.
A police source who spoke with our correspondent the day before said that the DPO had earlier complained of a minor headache and had gone to a hospital about it. However, the actual cause of death was not known at the time of the conversation.

He said that a few hours later the DPO returned to his office and resumed working, but that a few hours later he called his orderly and complained that he was feeling somehow.
According to the source, “He requested that his orderly contact the Divisional Crime Officer” (DCO). I believe that he intended to turn over control to the DCO.

“The orderly found him lying on the floor, struggling to catch his breath. He was rushed to the Badagry General Hospital, but it was determined that he had already passed away.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos police department, stated that “He passed away on Tuesday. Everyone was taken aback by it because nobody had any reason to believe that his health was in any danger. They said that he just complained about a minor headache, went to the hospital, came back, started working, and died shortly after that.
