Buhari heads to London for coronation of King Charles III.
President Muhammadu Buhari will embark on a trip to the United Kingdom to attend the coronation of King Charles III.
During the President’s visit to the United Kingdom, he will participate in a summit for Presidents and Heads of Government of Commonwealth countries on Friday.
On Wednesday morning, a statement was released by the presidency providing information regarding President Buhari’s upcoming trip.
According to a statement from the presidency, President Buhari will be accompanied to the United Kingdom by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture; and Babagana Monguno, the National Security Adviser.
It is anticipated that the president’s entourage will include Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).
Britain’s new monarch, King Charles III, was proclaimed in September of 2022.
He ascended to the throne subsequent to the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who had reached the age of 96.
