Buhari speaks on begging Tinubu for soft landing

Garba Shehu, a spokesperson for the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, said on Thursday that his boss did not ask his successor, , not to investigate former ministers and aides.

Shehu announced it on Twitter with the caption, ‘What Buhari Didn’t Say To President Tinubu.’

Shehu said in a tweet accompanied by a photo of both leaders that, contrary to a report (not by Channels Television) that Tinubu assured Buhari that he and his close aides would be exempt from any corruption investigation, the former President was in London to rest.

According to the former presidential aide, when Tinubu met with Buhari in London on Monday, there was no one in the room.

The former president wishes to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible so as not to distract the new administration.”
