Prof. Gambari Conferred With Doctorate Degree
Professor Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff to President Buhari, was awarded a doctorate (honoris causa) by the administration of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, during its seventh combined convocation ceremony.
In addition to Professor Brunon Holyyst from Poland, Professor Ibrahim Gambari received the Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) degree.

The Governor-elect of Taraba State, Dr. Kefas Agbu, and the Governor-elect of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, were among the recipients of academic doctorates.
Saturday’s ceremony was held on the Convocation Square of the 22-year-old university in the ancient city of Keffi.
In his speech, the Governor of Nasarawa State and visitor to the university, Envr. Abdullah Sule, praised the Vice-Chancellor of the University and the entire administration for the institution’s industrial peace.
Governor Sule also announced that the state government will soon begin paying university employees’ salaries.
Earlier in his welcome address, Professor Bala Muhammed, Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, congratulated the university’s graduates.They were charged with being good representatives of the university.

He thanked the President’s Chief of Staff and Professor Brunon Holyyst for accepting honorary doctorates from the university.
The VC also praised Governor Sule for his numerous assistances to university administration.

The Vice-Chancellor used the opportunity to list the accomplishments of his administration, which included the construction of a new Senate building, three central engineering workshops, laboratories, and the fencing of the university’s Lafia and Gudi campuses.
He instructed the graduates to be good representatives of the university. He also thanked the state’s governor, who was visiting the university, for his support.
