Comedian, Oga Sabinus in Trouble as Victims Petition him to EFCC for a Ponzi scheme he advertised

Certain Nigerians have requested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detain comedian Emmanuel Chuwkwuememe Ejekwu, also known as “Sabinus,” for supporting and publicising AI Mining, a Ponzi scheme business that has allegedly robbed numerous people.

People invested in the platform as a result of the celebrity’s videos promoting it. He also served as its representative.

Supposedly, Chiamaka Glory is the owner of the alleged Ponzi scheme.

An examination of the app revealed that it had failed, leaving investors unable to receive payments.

Certain subscribers who invested in the programme criticise Sabinus for promoting it.

It was implied that the comedian has been silent since the app’s demise.

“Prior to mischievous scam activities carried out against many innocent Nigerians on March 30, 2023 by a company named AI MINING, whose ambassador in Nigeria is one Mr Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, a comedian celebrity popularly known as Mr Funny / Sabinus,” read a petition to the EFCC by some Nigerians.

“We want this body to invite Mr. Sabinus Chukwuemeka, who cannot be hired by ghosts, to reveal the identities of those behind AI MINING.

“We are also using this letter to request that you assist in revealing the true identity of the entities behind the licence/certificate issued to AI Mining operating at Church gate Towers, 2nd floor, Abuja.

“In addition, we want the anti-corruption agency to extend an invitation to the general manager of NTA, FAAJI FM, and WAZOBIA to reveal the identities of those who contracted them to run a series of jingles for them under the company AI MINING, which induced millions of innocent Nigerians to invest on their platform by leveraging the credibility of those stations.”
