Cook-a-Thon: Ekiti Chef, Dami Hits 85 Hours
Miss Damilola Adeparusi, the chef from Ekiti known as Chef Dammy, has reached a new milestone in her pursuit of records.
On Monday, the chef reached 85 hours in her quest to set a new record of 120 hours cooking marathon and become a Guinness World Records holder.

According to reports, resident Chef Dammy is currently participating in the cooking marathon in Ilupeju-Ekiti and has been using a generator since Friday.
Before Adeparusi began her quest, residents of Ilupeju-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area had been experiencing epileptic electricity supply for many months.
A few weeks ago, another chef, Hilda Baci, set an unofficial record. Adeparusi’s friends and coworkers visit her home daily to cheer her on as she attempts to surpass this record.
Some of her student colleagues also spend the night at the location, while others come to visit and depart after enjoying the music and various delicacies she is preparing.
Adeparusi does not appear weary or exhausted in her demeanour or body language, and she is not distracted by the negative comments made by certain social media users about her quest.

It was also noted that three heavily armed military officers were stationed at the residence to protect her and her supporters from the invasion of unwelcome individuals.
In addition, cadet officers were stationed at the building’s entrance to maintain order as her cooking marathon continued, and journalists and social media professionals were also spotted at the residence.
As of the time of the report, Chef Dammy had prepared, among other delectable dishes, Eba, beans with corn, Amala, pounded yam and rice.
