Kwara CP orders arrest of Police Inspector who drank to stupor
Mr. Paul Odama, Commissioner of Police for the State of Kwara in Ilorin, has ordered the arrest of a Police Inspector who became intoxicated.
According to reliable information gathered by Ejes Gist News Nigeria, the police commissioner issued the directive in response to a video of a police inspector that is currently circulating on various social media platforms.

Stephen Yohana, a Police Inspector in the state of Kwara who allegedly drank himself into a stupor, was arrested immediately and placed under observation to determine his mental state.
The stated Police Inspector is assigned to the Share, Ifelodun local government area in the state of Kwara.
According to a statement released by the command’s spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi in Ilorin on Sunday, after viewing the video in question, the police commissioner issued an immediate order for the officer to be identified and arrested.
The statement reads, “The Command wishes to announce the arrest of the police inspector assigned to the Share Division in the Irepodun LGA of Kwara State.” As it was observed that his case is more medical than alcoholic, he is currently undergoing a medical examination at the police clinic to determine the state of his mental health.
According to the statement, the inspector’s medical examination will determine the next course of action against him.
“Therefore, the CP has ordered that the inspector be placed under close observation by his immediate supervisor, the Divisional Police Officer of Share Division, until his treatment is complete,” the statement continued.
