His Majesty, King Obukowho Monday Whiskey Udurhie 1, the paramount ruler of Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, has issued a heartfelt appeal to President Bola Tinubu.
The king implored the President to promptly broaden the reach of the crude oil pipeline surveillance contract in the Niger Delta region.
The monarch emphasized that such an expansion would lead to increased employment opportunities and discourage local residents from supporting foreign elements or security forces involved in the destructive act of vandalizing vital national assets and facilities.

In a personally signed statement dated July 16, 2023, the king conveyed his message, providing copies to journalists in Warri, Delta State on Sunday.
Referring to the recent apprehension of a foreign bunkering vessel by the Tantita Security Limited, owned by High Government Owezide Ekpemukpolo, popularly known as ‘Tompolo,’ the monarch stated that it is now evident to all that the company possesses not only the capability to fulfill its mandate but also the patriotic fervor to safeguard the nation’s economic well-being.
Expressing concern over the detrimental effects of illegal activities and vandalism perpetrated by oil thieves on the national economy and the environment of the Niger Delta, the traditional ruler acknowledged that Tantita has taken significant security risks against both known and unknown cartels engaged in pipeline vandalism and environmental pollution.
