Reports Making rounds which claimed that the united States president called for the annulment of the 2023 Nigerian Presidential Elections is fake
A screenshot of a purported Associated Press (AP) News headline depicts President Joe Biden requesting the cancellation of Nigeria’s presidential election.
However, a visit to the website of the American news agency and the official social media accounts of the US president revealed that Biden had not commented on the outcome of Nigeria’s 2023 election.

A Google keyword search revealed that the last time the president of the United States spoke about Nigeria’s election was on February 23, when he called for a peaceful and transparent election.
Our verdict
Therefore, the allegation that President Biden called for the cancellation of the most recent presidential election in 2023 is false.
Some Nigerians, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, demanded the annulment of the election while the results were still being tallied.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) joined the call for cancellation after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failed to immediately upload polling unit results to the results-checking portal as promised.
Professor Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), continued the vote count and declared Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the winner after he received over 8 million votes. He urged other aggrieved candidates to contest the election in court.
