In a communication titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages,’ sent to its customer base and signed by Chief Executive Officer John Ugbe, the company cited escalating business operation costs as the driving force behind the decision. The price adjustments are scheduled to come into effect on May 1, 2024.

“We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations has led us to make this difficult decision,” the statement remarked.

Under the new pricing structure, the Premium package on DSTV, previously priced at N29,500, will now cost N37,000. Similarly, the Compact Plus package, currently priced at N19,800, will be increased to N25,000.
