EFCC Provides Update on Arrest of Bobrisky for Alleged Money Spraying
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has provided an update on the arrest of popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, stating that he will soon be charged to court.
In a post on its official page, the anti-graft agency disclosed that its operatives from the Lagos Zonal Command have commenced an investigation into Bobrisky for allegedly spraying Naira notes at a movie premiere.

According to the EFCC, Bobrisky, also known as the ‘Mummy of Lagos’ in social circles, was invited for questioning following a video report of him flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie, “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress and producer, Eniola Ajao, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.
The investigation further revealed that Bobrisky had allegedly committed similar offenses at other event centers and parties on different occasions.

Following the invitation by the EFCC, Bobrisky voluntarily arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command for interrogation on Wednesday, April 4, 2024, and provided his statements.
The EFCC concluded the statement by confirming that Bobrisky would soon be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
This development marks a significant update in the ongoing investigation into Bobrisky’s alleged involvement in the act of spraying Naira notes, as the EFCC continues its efforts to combat financial crimes in Nigeria.
