Tragic Incident in Lagos: Resident Allegedly Beats Pregnant Wife to Death.

 

A harrowing incident has rocked the Okota area of Lagos State, where a resident identified as Emmanuel Chigozie, a Master of Ceremony (MC), is accused of fatally assaulting his pregnant wife. The tragic event unfolded when Chigozie allegedly subjected his wife, identified as Itunu, to a brutal beating, resulting in her untimely demise.

According to reports, the couple had been married for four years, during which Chigozie purportedly engaged in repeated acts of infidelity and domestic abuse towards his wife, especially after the birth of their first child. Itunu, who was pregnant at the time of the incident, had allegedly endured years of physical abuse at the hands of her husband.

The situation escalated when Itunu, in her pregnant state, confronted Chigozie about a loan she had provided him, amounting to N2.7 million. In response, Chigozie reportedly assaulted his wife, leading to her sustaining critical injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both Itunu and her unborn child tragically succumbed to their injuries.
