Tinubu’s Victory: Fayose calls for Ayu’s resignation as PDP National Chairman
Former Ekiti State Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose has demanded the resignation of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu due to his inability to lead the party to the next level.
Fayose stated this shortly after he congratulated Bola Tinubu, the incoming president of Nigeria, on his victory.

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election on Wednesday morning.
Saturday’s presidential election was won by Tinubu, who defeated Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

Wednesday via his Twitter account, Fayose tweeted, “I demand the immediate resignation of PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu for his inability to move the party forward.”
Fayosed had previously tweeted, “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on being elected Nigeria’s next president. I urge the other candidates, especially Atiku Abubakar, to accept the outcome in the national interest. Another day will always arrive.”
