Senator Elisha Abbo Alleges Political Conspiracy in His Removal; Orji Kalu and Others May Be Next.

In a startling turn of events, Senator Elisha Abbo has come forward with allegations of a political conspiracy behind his recent removal from the Senate. The controversial figure, often referred to as the “Sex Toy Senator” due to a highly publicized incident at an Abuja sex toy shop, made these claims following the Court of Appeal’s decision to nullify his election into the Senate.

Speaking at a press conference held at his residence in Abuja, Senator Abbo pointed fingers at those he believes are responsible for his ousting. What’s even more surprising is that he disclosed that he is not the only senator targeted for removal.

In a bold statement, Abbo revealed that five other senators, including Orji Uzor Kalu, are on the list to be removed from the red chambers. The purported reason, according to Abbo, is their alleged lack of support for Godswill Akpabio’s bid for the Senate presidency.

“I can’t afford to be flippant, and I don’t speculate. What I am telling you is authentic,” Senator Abbo asserted. A very highly placed Nigerian citizen told me that five of us were slated for removal. I would be going, and Orji Uzor Kalu would follow me, and we would all go. That is a fact.”

Despite the shocking revelation, Abbo emphasized that this situation is not merely about winning or losing but rather a matter of democracy being undermined. He described the judgment against him as a “coup on democracy” and called on his supporters to remain steadfast despite the court’s ruling.

Senator Abbo maintained firmly that he had won the election, even though the court declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Amos Yohanna, as the winner. He claimed to have defeated Yohanna with a margin of 11,000 votes.

However, in a contrasting viewpoint, Godswill Akpabio’s camp has denied any involvement in Senator Abbo’s removal, further complicating the situation and adding another layer of intrigue to this developing story.

This revelation has certainly stirred controversy and raised questions about the intricate and often convoluted nature of Nigerian politics. It leaves citizens and observers eagerly anticipating how this situation will unfold and whether it will result in the removal of additional senators, as alleged by Senator Abbo. The coming days and weeks are likely to bring more clarity to this intriguing political drama.
