Nigerian Man Faces Deportation from Canada After Visa Oversight

According to Funke, the issue stemmed from the man’s failure to disclose in his visa application that Turkey had previously denied him a visa. This omission caught the attention of immigration officials at the Canadian port of entry, leading to his deportation.
Sassy Funke, who received the heartbreaking story via an email from the man’s wife, emphasized the importance of accurately filling out visa applications.

She explained, “They probably found out after they had given him the visa. They can still deny you even at the airport in Canada. It’s very important to always make sure to fill out applications properly.”
