The procession concluded at the palace of King Wigor, where hundreds gathered to mourn and seek solace. The crowd sang and called upon divine intervention to help the community cope with what they described as an ‘unbelievable and incalculable’ loss.

King Wigor, speaking about Wigwe’s impact on Isiokpo, highlighted his role in lifting many young men from poverty and fulfilling promises made to the community. The king expressed disappointment that Wigwe’s death disrupted anticipated promises, including the provision of electricity that would have positively affected more lives in the community.

“We must traditionally bury him. He cannot be buried outside Isiokpo. He must be buried here. Isiokpo must find a way to probe his death,” insisted King Wigor.

The president of Isiokpo Youth Council, Apostle Peter Ezemoye, emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into Wigwe’s death. He called on the Federal Government, state, and National Assembly to delve into the matter, questioning the narratives surrounding the tragic incident.
