Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State stated on Friday that he would return to farming after losing his bid for the Senate.
During his campaign for a seat in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Ortom insisted on Arise TV that the’market was not good’.
Recall that the Benue governor’s hopes of becoming a senator were dashed on February 25 when he lost to his former aide, Titus Zam.
When asked “how was the market” after losing the election for senator, Ortom responded, “The market [for my senatorial bid] is not good.

“This time around, the market isn’t good, but I’ll be here [as governor of Benue] until May 29, when, by the grace of God, I’ll handover to my successor and the Governor-elect of the state.
“I will find another activity. Regarding myself, I could return to my farm.
