TB Joshua latest Late Megachurch Leader TB Joshua Accused of Widespread Abuse

In a shocking revelation, the BBC has exposed allegations against the late megachurch leader TB Joshua, who stands accused of committing sexual crimes on a mass scale.

The investigation discloses how Joshua reportedly locked up his own daughter, Ajoke, and subjected her to years of torture, ultimately leaving her homeless on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria.

Ajoke, now 27, courageously shared her harrowing experience, shedding light on the abuse she endured from the age of seven within the Synagogue Church of All Nations (Scoan). The report indicates that TB Joshua, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 57, faced accusations spanning almost two decades.

Despite a seemingly happy childhood until the age of seven, Ajoke’s life took a drastic turn after being labeled the illegitimate child of TB Joshua. She was forcibly taken to the Scoan compound in Lagos, where she was subjected to a life of strict rules, abuse, and social isolation.

The BBC interviewed over 25 former disciples who provided corroborating testimony of experiencing or witnessing sexual abuse within the church. Ajoke’s confrontation with her father at the age of 17, exposing firsthand accounts of sexual abuse, marked a turning point that led to her social confinement for over a year.

Facing daily beatings with belts and chains, Ajoke was eventually expelled from the church at the age of 19, rendering her homeless. The BBC’s investigation, initiated in 2019 after Ajoke’s contact, sheds light on the systemic abuse within Scoan.

While Scoan did not respond to the specific allegations in this investigation, it denied previous claims against TB Joshua. Ajoke’s resilience and determination to speak out against the truth have earned her recognition as a hero by former disciples who began questioning their faith in TB Joshua.

This report by Ejes Gist News is based on the in-depth investigation conducted by the BBC, revealing a dark chapter in the legacy of TB Joshua and the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
