Tinubu denies rumours of Surgery, speaks on French Trip

 

On Monday evening, President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned from a month-long trip to Paris, France.

His plane landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja, where he was greeted by a massive crowd of enthusiastic associates and supporters.

The former governor of Lagos was accompanied by his wife, Senator Remi Tinubu, and his son, Seyi Tinubu.

 

Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Abubakar Sani-Bello (Niger), and former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff were present at the airport to welcome him.

Former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, APC Deputy National Chairman for the North Senator Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman for the South Barrister Emma Enekwu, and National Woman Leader Dr Betty Edu were also at the airport.

 

Senators Barau Jibril, Adeola Olamilekan Yahyi, Opeyemi Bamidele, Dayo Adeyeye, Sabi Abdullahi, and Adelere Oriolowo were also present, along with the Secretary of the disbanded Presidential Campaign Council, the Honourable James Faleke, the Honourable Babajimi Benson, and Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Director of media and publicity for the disbanded Presidential Campaign Council.

The President-elect addressed the crowd at the airport, saying, “I’m glad to be back. I am rested, refreshed, and prepared for the upcoming task.”

When asked about his plans for the country, he stated that he had been consulting and planning in order to assemble a strong team so that he could hit the ground running on May 29.

After a tumultuous campaign and election season, the President-elect left the country for a vacation in Paris on March 21.
