In a recent statement, the Minister of Power, Adebayo , has shed light on the factors contributing to the reduction in across Nigeria. According to Adelabu, the primary cause for the drop in power supply is the constraints faced by thermal generating companies due to decreased gas availability.

He further explained that resolving outstanding payments to power generation companies is a key step in mitigating the challenges faced by the sector. This, in turn, is expected to enhance the electricity supply to distribution companies, enabling them to provide more consistent and reliable service to Nigerians.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Adelabu assured the public of an imminent turnaround in the power supply scenario. The federal government is actively working to overcome the gas constraints hindering thermal generating companies from operating at optimal capacity.
