State governments, who sued the Federal Government over the naira redesign policy, have given the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, until Tuesday to comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling on the currency.
2) Presidential Polls: LP PCC, Nationwide Protest would hold as scheduled
The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council reiterated on Sunday that its supporters will not back down from their planned nationwide demonstration unless the Independent National Electoral Commission grants LP’s attorneys access to materials from the contentious presidential election held on February 25.
3) Gunmen- Security Guard clash: 18 killed in katsina
On Saturday evening, terrorists and local security guards clashed in the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing an estimated 18 people. This comes as the death toll from the Saturday night attack on the Ungwan Wakili community in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the state of Kaduna rose to 17.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has criticised political parties for interfering in its affairs to dictate how the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, should be operated. Twenty-one more survivors of the train-bus collision in Lagos last Thursday have been released. Yesterday’s release brings the total number of civil servants injured in the Sogunle bus crash to 53. These 53 were being transported to their offices on the bus when it crashed.
