By falsely claiming to be the top scorer of the 2023 UTME, she may face legal consequences. Yerima suggested that the government should initiate a dialogue with these bandits, particularly the Nigerian members, as was done with the Niger Delta militants in the past. He believes that by engaging in dialogue, the Nigerian bandits can be convinced and empowered to cease their activities, just like the Niger Delta militants were. However, if the dialogue approach fails, Yerima suggested that the government should resort to the use of force against the bandits, wherever they may be found.

12. NYSC Reveals Reason For Delay In Payment Of June Allowance To Corpers.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has provided an explanation for the delay in the payment of the monthly allowance for June 2023 to serving corps members. In a statement released on Sunday by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, the NYSC management stated that the delay is primarily due to the administrative process of fund disbursement by various banks, which are yet to credit the accounts of corps members.

 

The NYSC management assured that they are aware of the situation and are actively collaborating with the banks to expedite the payment of the monthly allowance to corps members. In the interim, the NYSC appealed for calm from the affected corps members and encouraged them to continue carrying out their duties diligently and abide by the laws.
