Moses Simon, Mo Salah, Saido Mane nominated for CAF Player of the Year (Full Awards list)

Moses Simon, a member of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, is up for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the Year award, along with Mo Salah of Liverpool and Saido Mane of Bayern Munich.

The first list of nominees for the Men’s categories—Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, and Club of the Year—was announced by CAF on Thursday, June 30.

According to CAF, the nominees for the Women’s categories will be revealed soon.

Akinkunmi Amoo, a former forward for the Golden Eaglets, was a candidate for the Young Player of the Year award.

A voting panel made up of members of the CAF Technical Committee, media experts, head coaches and captains of member associations, and clubs taking part in the group stage of the Interclub competitions will choose the winners of each category.

Nigeria

The CAF Awards 2022 will take place in Morocco prior to the women’s Cup of Nations final, which is scheduled to take place between July 2 and July 23.
