Reactions Erupt as RCCG Pastor, INEC Witness, Rejects Swear with the Holy Bible.
A Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor, Lawrence Bayode, who was brought as a witness by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), caused a small commotion at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja. Instead of swearing under oath using the Holy Bible, Lawrence Bayode, who is both an INEC Director of ICT and an RCCG pastor, declined to do so.

Ejes Gist News reports that Lawrence Bayode testified that only 31% of the results had been uploaded before Mahmood Yakubu fraudulently declared Tinubu as the winner. Additionally, the RCCG pastor, Lawrence Bayode, who refused to swear on the Holy Bible, explained to the court that he couldn’t read INEC’s certified copies of the IREV Results due to them being blurred. It should be noted that INEC had already concluded its case against the Labour Party with only one witness.

“There is more. Lawrence told the court that he could not read INEC’s certified copies of IREV Results, because they are blurred. INEC & Tinubu/Shettima’s lawyers have so far failed to tell the court how Tinubu was declared the winner.”

Also raises pretty serious questions about the role played by senior figures in the RCCG in this and previous elections involving Tinubu and his political parties. When you consider that his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, is an RCCG pastor, things begin to come into sharper focus.”
