Bala Ibrahim, APC media director has called for the arrest of Peter Obi. According to Ibrahim, Peter Obi should be arrested and brought to order.
Bala Ibrahim, the director of media for the APC, commented that the LP flag bearer could not be greater than the law of the land and that the security authorities should warn him for making such inflammatory remarks. This is responding to a statement by the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party that the idea of arresting Peter Obi by the Federal Government will be detrimental to national peace and development.
Bala Ibrahim continued by saying that “if the United States, which is seen as the beacon of democracy could prosecute former president Donald Trump, “Why do people fear that Nigeria would burn if Obi is apprehended by security agencies?”
He said, “I don’t subscribe to this idea of not touching certain persons simply because of the situation or the circumstances on the ground. Nobody is above the law.
“Regardless of your standing in society, you must be brought to order if you are in the wrong. It should be done, even if it means asking the security services to invite him.
“We shouldn’t let things spiral out of control only to avoid appearing to intimidate the opposition. That shouldn’t be the case, though. Former American president Donald Trump is currently in court as we speak”.
